An empty lot in rural Ontario, Canada, is now the home of a family of five.
The property is located on a stretch of land that’s known as the ‘china sea’ — a reference to the Chinese word for water.
But it was purchased by a family that lives there and they are looking for a new home to live in.
“I’ve been looking around and I’ve just come across this little place that’s basically a cottage house,” said Melissa Sosnowski, who bought the property from her boyfriend in 2015 for $1.8 million.
The cottage was purchased from a family who is moving to a different home in Canada, so they were able to keep the space for themselves.
“We’re hoping to stay here,” Sosntowski said.
“We’re really excited to see where we go from here.”
She said her boyfriend was very excited about the property.
“It’s such a big change for him, I mean, he’s been looking for something like this,” Sossnowski said, referring to the cottage.
The house was built in 1885, and was owned by a farmer who lived in it until his death in 2009.
He was an ardent Christian and had a huge church in his home, so the family said they hoped the property would be used for a Christian ministry.
The family said the cottage is not a traditional Chinese house, but is part of the traditional Chinese style of building.
“You know, if you have a traditional house and you’re selling it, that’s going to be a very popular choice,” said Lisa Leach, who was a member of the family when it was built.
The buyer said the property was sold for $2.5 million, and she is looking for another home.
